George L. Pena

George L. Pena, born October 29, 1921, passed away on August 17, 2014 at the age of 92 and was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Jane R. Pena. Mr. Pena proudly served during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps. Left to cherish his memories are his two daughters, Debbie Ann and Connie Marie Pena along with his three sons, Rudy Pena and wife Marcy, Robert Pena and wife Patricia, and Phillip Pena and wife Melinda. Also, his three grandchildren Michelle Lynn Schwartz and husband Daniel, Matthew Pena and Melanie Pena, one sister Andrea Sanchez and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 9pm with a rosary conducted by his nephew Lawrence P. Rodriguez at 7pm on August 21, 2014 at Brookside Funeral Home. Pallbearers for Mr. Pena are Rudy, Robert, Phillip, Matthew, Jimmie Pena, John Buck, and Lawrence P. Rodriguez. The funeral will begin at 10am on August 22, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran, Houston, Texas 77009 (713-695-0631), followed by interment at Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery.
