George Theodas Kasapira, at the age of 51, passed away peacefully at Houston Methodist Willowbrook hospital. He was born in Dar es Salaam to Mary Sembe and Captain Theodas James Kasapira on November 24, 1971. George is surrounded by his wife Lilian Joseph, by his four children: Nana Kasapira, Erick Kasapira, Beyonce Kasapira, Ashanti Kasapira, and by lots of brothers and sisters from both sides of his family.
George went to primary school at Kijenge Primary School in Arusha. For O level, he studied at Kigurunyembe Secondary School at Morogoro. For A level, he studied at Jitegemee Secondary School at Dar es Salaam.
In 1999, George moved to the United States of America to start a new life. A year later, he brought his wife, Lilian Joseph, to America and started a life together. God blessed them with two kids: Beyonce Kasapira in 2003 and Ashanti Kasapira in 2015.
George started working in Quietflex Manufactoring company on April 1st 2002, and continued to work there for 21 years.
George was a hardworking man. He worked until he couldn’t work anymore. He loved his family very much. He was determined to make sure that his family was okay in every way possible.
He loved music so much. As you all know, he had a DJ business called Boombasticsound Entertainment. He was very proud and passionate about that. He loved to cook and was very famous for his barbecue. He was very creative. Sometimes he would come up with a recipe that no ones knows, but the food would be so delicious.
George had a heart of gold. You all can testify that he touched many people in different ways. He took care of everyone. George gave so much to the community, from his tremendous contribution, his music and speakers, and so much more. George was a loving husband to his wife, a great father to all of his children, uncle cha cha cha, and a great friend like no other to everyone. There was not a single person he didn’t know. When he’s around there was never a dull moment. He lit up the room with his jokes, his music, and most of all his smile. This is a great loss and he will be missed by his family and the whole community tremendously. We love you George, you live forever!
