George Louis Collier

He was an incredibly self sacrificing man that cared more for others than he did himself. He was always there for others to lend a helping hand to and cared for his brother, Billy Carl, his sister, Betty Joyce, and close friend Mr. Washington.

He served in the Vietnam war with a life long friend Roy van Voorhees as a Staff Sergeant until 1968. Sonny married Martine Millien and was elated at the birth of their daughter. Later sharing his life with Richard C Jordan and his children Cheryl and Steven. He was an amazing father, brother, uncle, friend, and paw-paw.

He loved making people laugh and seeing others happy!

Sonny was greeted in heaven by his mother Maurice, brothers Robert Neil and Billy Carl, and sister Patricia Ann. He is survived by his sister Melba Collier, brother Buddy Collier and wife Jeremy, his daughter Deborah and her husband Ray Sanders, his 5 grandchildren and their spouses Ray & Erin Sanders, Mike & Patricia Sanders, Melanie & Kenny Eddings, Christina & Adam Moyer, and Joe & Stephine Sanders. 5 great grandchildren Kalub, Cole, Marie, Jojo, Olivia and baby Sanders due in June. Multiple nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to say a special thanks to his neighbors that were always there for him Israel and Patricia Gomez and their daughters. Lastly Richard Jordan for bringing years of happiness and love in completing our family!
