George Eliecer Acosta

George Eliecer Acosta went to be with his Lord on October 23, 2016. He was born on November 11, 1960 to parents Alfonso Acosta and Isabel Esmeral Acosta in Colombia. George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend that will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. He survived by his wife of 27 years, Patti Solomon-Acosta; children: Jorge Eliecer Acosta, Christina Isabel Acosta, Kimberly Leigh Shore and her husband George, Andrea Marie Abbott, and Theresa Michele Abbott; grandchildren: Adalberto “A.J.” Gonzalez, Emily Marie Mabasa, Devon Michael Abbott and Ethan Andrew Shore; father Alfonso Acosta; siblings: Henry Acosta and his wife Darlene, Alex Acosta and his wife Brenda, Vilma Acosta-Rutland, and Elizabeth Acosta-Chan and her husband Darryl and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. George is preceded in death by his mother Isabel Esmeral.

The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Road, Houston, Texas 77039 followed by a rite of committal at Brookside Memorial Park & Cemetery.
