Geneva worked for many years managing accounts receivables in the insurance industry in Houston. She enjoyed her work and was quite proficient at what she did. Her church and faith were very important to her where she was very active and devout.
Sunday was a very important day for Geneva, as the day often led to a home cooked meal sitting around the table with her family. The menu for those meals was often planned days in advance as she eagerly anticipated Sunday to arrive. While not working or cooking, Geneva enjoyed gardening and working cross word puzzles. Above all else, what she enjoyed the most was simply time with her beloved family.
Referred to by many as a “saint”, she was also someone that had a truly kind heart and was loving to all she met. She was a wonderful mother, but her true calling was when she became a grandmother and great-grandmother.
Geneva was greeted in heaven by the love of her life, her husband Cecil Mosley; sister Ouida Harris; and brothers J.T. Smith and Arlice Smith.
Left to carry on her legacy and cherish her memories are her daughters Pat Maresh and husband Ronnie and Carolyn Roberts; grandchildren Jeremy Maresh, Jonathan Maresh, and MacKenzie Montgomery and husband Mark; great-grandchildren Mia Montgomery and Jaxson Montgomery; and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation for Geneva will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 10am-12pm in the Magnolia Room at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home 13102 North Freeway Houston, Texas 77060. Internment will take place with a Graveside Service at 2pm on October 24, 2020 at Rosewood Memorial Park 2602 S. Houston Avenue Humble, Texas 77396.
