Geneva Maxine Lemoine was born to Joseph and Isabelle Lemoine in Natchitoches Parish on October 14, 1930 and passed September 13, 2010. She married and moved to the Houston area in mid 40’s where she worked full time and raised three children. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Joe Lemoine and son, Danny Evans. Surviving Geneva is son, Rodney Evans and wife Karen; daughter, Carrol Gowen and husband Larry; grandchildren: Dana Dovell, Daphne Evans, Casey Gowen, Christina Schexnider and Dan Clark; great grandchildren: Bryce Lewis, Shelby and Rhett Dovell, Jayden Schexnider; brothers: Roy Lee and JR Lemoine; sisters: Sally Wilson, Donnie Moore and Elizabeth Harris. Geneva retired from Schlumberger Well Services in 1987, after 26 years of service. In her retirement, she worked part time managing vending machines at an area Bingo Hall. She also had a lifelong passion for growing anything that bloomed, even weeds. Each spring one would find her yard full of color. She also enjoyed bingo, fishing and playing the lotto. The family would like to thank all who touched Geneva’s life with patience and kindness. Visitation will be Thurs., Sept. 16th from 6-8PM. Funeral Services will be 10:30AM, Fri., Sept. 17th. . Both services will be held at Brookside Chapel of Chimes. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
