He was born on October 3, 1959, in Winchester, VA; the son of Gary G. Green, Sr. and Nora Green Price (Miller). Gary graduated from James Wood High School in 1978, and then went on to his beloved alma mater of Virginia Tech, before receiving a law degree from the University of Houston. His passion for law and justice continued until his passing.
Gary is survived by his three beautiful daughters, whom he was extremely proud of; Nora Danielle Amos (Josh) of Ashland, VA, Sarah Delaney Green, and Emma Jordan Green, both of Houston, TX; a sister Sharon Brill (Ike) and a brother B. Jeffrey Green; four grandsons that he cherished spending time with in order to teach them the important things in life, like how to win in poker and how to hunt for monsters while camping, John Henry Amos, Harrison Amos, Hamilton Amos, and Alexander Vazquez; and a niece Lela Boggs (Shaun.) He was fortunate to have two ex-wives, with whom remained close friends; Donna Lockhart and Trish Green, who cared for him until his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-father Hugh Price, Jr., and a brother, Stewart Green, II.
Gary was a kind, caring, yet stern, and smart man who wanted others to be happy. He loved watching his Hokies and Astros play. He enjoyed Lynyrd Skynyrd and making lists. His first love was his family and he will be greatly missed by them.
As requested, he will have no service. The family will have a private celebration of life in the future. Online condolences may be left at www.dignitymemorial.com. Contributions in his memory can be made to The ALS Association.
