Gary was born on November 9, 1943 in Belleville, Illinois. He was raised by his mother, Jane Kaesberg and Irwin “Irv” Kaesberg. He had 6 brothers, Dennis, Ralph, David, Mike, Jeff, and Eric. He graduated from Aldine High School in 1961. He was drafted into the army in 1965 and served in the Vietnam War in 1966-67 as a member of the 272nd Military Police Company known as “The Fighting Duece”. He went on to work in the Heat Treat Department at Cameron Iron Works which eventually became Wyman-Gordon. His employment lasted 45 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jeff Draper, Ralph Draper, Dennis Draper and David Draper; son Clint Draper. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce Draper, 2 brothers, Eric Draper and Mike Draper, his son Derek Draper, Daughters-in-Law Heather and Tammy, and grandchildren, Hailey, Carson and Hayden.
Gary was an honorable Veteran, Husband, Father, Brother and Friend. He was loved by all who met with him and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
