Garry Lynn Looney

Garry is preceded in death by his father William Rufus Looney, mother Phyllis Ruth Story Looney and sister JoAnn Gray. Garry is survived by his wife Lisa Shannon, sisters Pam Hext and Barbara Klesel (Jim), nephews Casey Klesel, Jason Klesel and Brian Kliem, stepdaughters Megan and Melissa, grandchildren Jordan, Patrick and Aybree and great grandson Isaik and many friends.

Garry was born in Houston, TX on February, 13, 1955. After graduating from Waltrip Senior High School Garry served in the U.S. Army from 1976-1980. Garry received an Honorable Discharge at rank of Sgt. E-5. After leaving the Army Garry found his career path as a Commercial Truck Driver. At the time of Garry’s passing, he was employed by Ryder Integrated Logistics, Inc.

Garry loved being outdoors. Some of his hobbies included fishing and riding his Harley’s. Garry enjoyed working in his yard and received many compliments from neighbors. He also enjoyed dancing and was an excellent dancer. Garry never met a stranger he enjoyed being around people. Garry was a very kind, caring and loving man who will be greatly missed by those of us who knew and love him.
