Frederick attended public schools in Houston, Texas and graduated from Jeff Davis High in 1974. He worked as a Supervisor in housekeeping at several Hotels in Houston and even in Atlanta, Georgia. Later in life he attended University of Houston Downtown where he studied Interdisciplinary studies, and Houston Community College where he studied Medical Billing and Coding and earned degrees in both studies.
Frederick had a strong belief in the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Sunlight Baptist where he attended faithfully until his health failed him.
He was a great cook, loved to have fun with family and friends. He live and bonded with his God- sister Angela (also precede him in death) where they raised four children, who they knew him as “Uncle Fred” and he continue to love and be a loving parent until his death.
Frederick is survived by his children, Destine Gray, James Gray, Elma Prejean, Carla Prejean, three brothers, Kenneth Roberts (preceded him in death), Craig Brown, (Cynthia) Lamont Foreman, (Karoleigh) two sisters Lois Elaine Jackson, (Donald) Tracy Brown (“Pat”) three grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
