Fred Earl Huebner Sr.

A U.S. Navy veteran and employee of the City of Houston, he was a 32nd degree Mason, 50 year member of Reagan Lodge #1037, twice patron of Houston Heights #258 O.E.S., member of Arabia Shrine Temple, and Saint Mark’s United Methodist Church.

Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Margaret Puls Huebner. He is survived by his loving children, Melody Rountree (Gary), Margaret “Honey” Gray (Jerry), and Fred Huebner, Jr.; grandchildren, Courtney and Lucas Rountree, Rachel Freeman (Charles), Michael, Jamie, and Corey Gray (Katie), and Shawna, Nicolette, Trendon, and Zevonne Huebner; great-grandchildren, Dominic, Andrew, Haley, and Emily Gray, Sarah and Adam Freeman, and Carter Fields, and by his special friend and inspiration of the last 11 years, Edith Lasher.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Heights Funeral Home. Services 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories, Houston, Texas, under the auspices of Reagan Lodge.
