Brother McClain was united in Holy Matrimony to Jurniece McClain on August 28, 1955 in Hueytown, AL.
After serving in the Army they moved to Toledo, OH to start their lives together and were blessed with three sons, Frank Jr., Charles and Sylvester.
He served faithfully at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Edwin Benton and later moving on to United Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Paul Braddus. He was ordained a Deacon and faithfully served.
When health issues began to arise, he and his wife moved to Houston , TX to live with his son.
Deacon McClain was a devout christian, a loving and devoted husband of 68 years, and a caring father.
Deacon McClain was preceded in death by both of his parents, two brothers, and his son Charles.
He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Jurniece, two sons Frank Jr. of Ohio and Sylvester of Texas, brothers Hermon (Johnnie), Alfonso (Jackie) of Alabama, sister Narva (Eugene) of Michigan, a grandchild Franklin, and a host of others nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, October 6th from 10am to 11am with a funeral service beginning at 11am at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
