Frank D. Dance

Born in Enid, Oklahoma, January 12, 1954, he was the son of Frank and Georgiana Dance. Frank earned a B.S. Mathematics from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1981. While attending school he met and married Sharon Ann Johnson on December 1, 1979.

Frank loved technology and worked for over 25 years in the Information Technology field, first with Amoco Corporation in Tulsa, OK and Chicago, IL. He retired in 2009 as an IT Architecture and Development Manager for BP here in Houston.

Frank, through his son’s influence, became an avid computer gamer, spending many enjoyable evenings with family and friends online conquering monsters and completing daring quests. He was also an amateur photographer who “back in the day”, enjoyed developing his own film.

Frank, in addition to his wife, is survived by his son Kendrick Edward Dance. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77079, with a reception to follow in the Allen Room.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Frank's memory to a charity of your choice.
