Frank Luther Brocato, passed away at a local hospital on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the age of 87. He was born on March 2, 1924 in Houston, Texas to Sam and Mamie Brocato. Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII, after the war he opened Brocato's Supermarket, and later retired from Rice Food Markets after many years of service. Frank is survived by his loving wife Katherine Elizabeth; sons Sam and Charles Brocato; grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends for visitation at the chapel of Pat H. Foley Funeral Directors on Tuesday, July 19th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm, with the rosary recited at 7:30pm. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 20th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston 77018. Committal service will follow at Forest Park Lawndale cemetery.
