Frank Jarvis Alford, 85, passed away on February 18, 2024. Frank was born, in Philadelphia, Mississippi on June 28, 1938, to the late Ethyl and Rube Alford. He spent his childhood in school and church, helping on the farm, fishing, and enjoyed the freedom of a country life in the woods and fields with his brothers and friends.
As a young man, Frank was drafted into the US Army and served his country for 4 years and carried a deep pride and respect for the military for the rest of his life.
In 1962, Frank married the love of his life, Brenda Holton of Louisville, Mississippi. They were married for 62 years and had two daughters, Rhonda and Andrea. Frank worked for Brown & Root his entire career, both on and offshore. He enjoyed fishing and spent many happy hours on various lakes and ponds. His favorite activity was spending time with his grandsons and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea Alford of Houston, Texas; brother, Harold Alford of Pearl, Mississippi; and sister Rachel Alford Thornton of Florence Mississippi.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Houston, Texas; daughter, Rhonda Owens and son-in-law, Gary Owens of Crosby, Texas; grandsons Brandt Owens and wife Jamie Owens of Atascocita, Texas and Luke Owens and wife Katy Owens of Huffman, Texas; great grandchildren, Garrett Owens, Morgan Owens, and Jaxon Owens. Twin brother, Ben Alford, of Clinton, Mississippi, brother and sister-in-law Perry and Linda Alford of Batesville, Mississippi, and many nieces and nephews.
Frank, known as Da to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved being a father, grandfather and great grandfather and found much joy in attending their school and sports activities from preschool through college. He loved his church and lived his faith.
He will be missed beyond measure.

A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 11:00 am at Dell Dale Avenue Baptist Church, at 402 Dell Dale Street, Channelview Texas.
