“La vida es solo una ilusión”. Para muchos, esas palabras simplemente representan un lema. Para Francisco, le recordó su mortalidad, pero lo más importante, el hecho de que tuvo que trabajar duro para que sus ideas se hicieran realidad. Era modesto, callado y observador, asimilando todo lo que le rodeaba y siempre pensando antes de actuar. Era un realista, alguien eficiente y práctico en todo lo que hacía. Era una persona amigable que realmente se preocupaba por quienes lo rodeaban.
Francisco falleció el 16 de febrero de 2021 en su casa en Houston, Texas, rodeado y cuidado por su familia hasta su último día. Desafortunadamente, perdió una batalla contra el cáncer de vejiga, incapaz de recuperarse de las complicaciones posoperatorias. Le sobreviven su esposa, sus hijos y nietos, su hermano y hermanas y muchos más miembros de la familia extendida en los Estados Unidos y México. Francisco fue enterrado en Forest Park Lawndale en Houston, Texas el Miercoles 3 de Marzo, 2021.
Se dice que un abuelo es alguien con plata en el cabello y oro en el corazón. Francisco era una persona confiable, pragmática y comprensiva, el tipo de hombre que atraía a todos. Será recordado para siempre por sus hermosos y tiernos ojos verdes, su corazón cariñoso, su abrazo amoroso y su amor incondicional. Aunque nuestro corazón esté apesadumbrado, celebraremos su vida y encontraremos consuelo de que él está en el cielo cuidándonos.

Francisco Salgado, age 84, of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Francisco was born on October 4, 1936.
“La vida es solo una ilusión.” For many, those words simply represent a motto. For Francisco, it reminded him of his mortality, but most importantly, the fact that he had to work hard for his ideas to become a reality. He was modest, quiet and observant, taking in everything around him and always thinking before acting. He was a realist, someone who was efficient and practical in everything he did. He was a friendly person who truly cared about those around him.
Francisco passed away on February 16, 2021 at his home in Houston, Texas, surrounded and cared for by his family until his final day. Unfortunately, he lost a battle to bladder cancer, unable to recover from post-surgery complications. He is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren, his brother and sisters and many more extended family members in the United States and Mexico. Francisco was laid to rest in Forest Park Lawndale in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, March 3rd, 2021.
It is said that a grandfather is someone with silver in his hair and gold in his heart. Francisco was a trustworthy, pragmatic and sympathetic person, the kind of man to whom everyone was drawn to. He will be forever remembered for his beautiful, gentle green eyes, caring heart, loving embrace and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us.
