Francisca “Frances” Ybarra, 91, of Houston, Texas passed away on November 29, 2013. She will be remembered for her passion for cooking and love of being in the yard working with her flowers. Despite the fact that she could kill plastic flowers, Frances loved planting and pruning her flowers and didn’t let anything get in her way including poison ivy. She also enjoyed going on day trips and vacations with her daughter Gloria and her husband Manuel. Frances loved her Catholic faith and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for many years. Most important to her however was her family and nothing made her light up like seeing her grandchildren. Frances is preceded in death by her son Richard Ybarra. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children Gloria J Villareal and husband Manuel, and Rosie Ybarra, grandchildren Aaron David Villareal and wife Christine, Stephen Ybarra and wife Michelle, Monica Martinez and husband Eric and Gregory Rodriquez, great grandchildren Matthew, Madelyn and Eric Martinez Jr., brother Jose Perez and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 5-9 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7pm. The funeral will take place at 10 am at Forest Park Lawndale in the Family Chapel.
