After leaving Opelousas, he moved and established new roots in Houston, Texas. He obtained his trucking license. He was a devoted employee and a hard worker for his family. He enjoyed cooking, dancing, watching sports (particularly the New Orleans Saints), fishing, and fixing things. He enjoyed family time, including playing cards, trash talking, and teaching his wife how to season food. To know him was to love him. He left his mark on everyone he met, and he will be missed.
Francis accepted Christ and his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was preceded in death by his dear mother, Dolores Martin and his brother, Donald Martin.
He is survived by his loving and faithful wife, Karen Denise Styner, daughter, Ashley Nicole Cains, son, Justin Martin, Sr., step-children, Trishana Flores (Favio), Tremon Styner, Kelvin Heard, Jr., Amnesty Heard, father, Eddie Martin, Sr., siblings, Patrick Martin (Pauline), Eddie Martin, Jr. (Stella), Kassandra Martin-Hall, Priscilla Ann Lewis, Mary E. Martin, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
