Frances Michelle Wood was born in Portland, Maine on August 8th of 1949, passed away on January 7, 2021 at the age of 71. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, William C. Wood. Children, Daniel Wood, Charlotte Cooper and Donald Wood. Grandchildren, Heather Stanley, Bobby Wood, Andrew Dycus, Jonathan Wood, Cassandra Wood, Christina Wood and Joey Janson. Siblings, Steven Cox, Dennis Cox and Rosemary Cox. 7 Great Grandchildren, including Violet Frances who has the honor to carry the beautiful Frances namesake.
Frances graduated from South Houston High School and continued her education at San Jacinto College where she graduated with an Associate’s Degree. Frances pursued her career with E.R. Carpenter, where she retired in 2002.
Frances was a free spirit who loved the outdoors, enjoyed traveling, had a passion for arts and crafts and sewed beautifully and often for her friends and family.
Frances was a beautiful soul and she will be missed dearly, services are as follows:
A visitation for Frances will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:15 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 25, 2021 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
A committal service will occur Monday, January 25, 2021 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
