She was a wonderful lady and lived a long life. She will be missed.

Frances was a great Mother-in-Law to me!  She treated me like her daughter. I will never forget all the great memories, like our times going to get pedicure together and many more fun stuff!! I do want to thank my husband Andrew for taking care of her, he was her angel through it all!!! She will be missed, but never forgotten.

.  They could not get enough of her.  Bobby could get your mother to do anything.  I remember her telling me he wanted a snake and she went and got him the snake he wanted.  Before this she was an anti-snake person but there was never any thought of saying no to Bobby.  She wanted to indulge him in ever interest he had.  

We will all remember the little things and special moments we shared with her.  Know that I share in your grief and sorrow.  I will miss her.  May her soul rest in peace and may the perpetual light shine upon her.  With fondness and love, Cathy (her niece)



Dear Andrew, 

The pain and the emptiness from losing your mother who was so dear must be immense.  You have been her guardian angel here on earth looking after her ever since your dad became so ill.  I know it hurt to watch her decline.  To say she was strong and independent does not do justice to her character.  She was intent on being self-reliant, self-sustaining, self-sufficient, self-determined but always selfless.  As she became weaker, she reminded me of a two-year old who will tell you very bluntly that she can do it all ‘by myself’.  She was not one to think others should do for her even when you would implore her to let you take care of things. Your love, patience, attention, and dedication to your mother are admired. 

My image of your mother and her home was that of June Cleaver in Leave to Beaver.  She was always impeccably dressed and manicured as was her home and her yard.  Dining with her recalled memories of dining with my grandparents.  The table was set straight out of an Emily Post etiquette book with fine china, silver, and crystal along with a menu that could have been prepared by Julia Child.  She did everything was such precision and excellence.  Along with her strength she undertook life with a warm-heart and a gentleness that is a rare gift.  

Visiting her for her 80th birthday was a privilege.  She had the energy and enthusiasm of a 20-year-old.  To me she was always so youthful in appearance and behavior.  She insisted we spend the day out on the town going to a local arts and craft show, stopping by the church for a fundraiser, shopping and sightseeing.  She entertained with gusto.  She was an amazing woman who lived life bravely and to the fullest.  

She was very proud of her family – you, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  They brought her immense joy.  I remember both of your parents being just giddy when Ashley was born. Giddy was never a word I would have used to describe them before I saw them with Ashley.  

Thank you for all the lovely memories - a beautiful lady inside and out.
