Floyd James Jozwiak

Floyd James Jozwiak, 76 of Cypress, TX, passed away at his home on Saturday, November 24, 2018. He was born on January 2, 1942 in Chappell Hill, Texas, to Adam and Carrie (Derkowski) Jozwiak. Floyd was the first New Year’s baby born in Washington County that year. He was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. Floyd enjoyed spending time with his family, going to casinos, watching football and baseball, Cajun dancing, and he held a special place in his heart for animals.

He is survived by his children, Michele Magalassi and husband, Billy of Stillwater, OK; Jason Jozwiak and wife, Susan of Cypress, TX; grandson Justin Magalassi and wife Mercedez of Lawton, OK; brother, Johnnie Jozwiak and wife, Betty Jean of Bedias, TX; sisters, Dolores Sparks of Cypress, TX, and Louise Jozwiak Fredieu of Trinity, TX, several nieces and nephews and dear friend, Jimmy Fitt.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, LaVon Jozwiak; son, Rodney Jozwiak; and grandson, Brandon Magalassi.

Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Magalassi, Justin Magalassi, Steve Bednarek, David Jozwiak, Lawrence Falk, and Billy Joe Noske.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home at 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. preceding the service.
