She married Carl A. Wernecke (deceased) on October 12, 1947.
She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church LWML, Women's Bowling Association, was a Cub Scout Den Mother, and had a passion for fishing and bowling.
She is survived by children Calvin Wernecke Sr. and wife Kathleen and Craig D. Wernecke; grandchildren Wendy Romijn, Calvin Wernecke Jr., Weston Wernecke, 8 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Florence will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A graveside service will occur Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
Serving as pallbearers are Calvin Wernecke Jr. , Weston Wernecke, Joseph Wernecke, Jacob Romijn, Dalton Wernecke, Steven Hufford, Clifton Romijn, Jace Wernecke and Jasper Scholte.
