Flora Frazer Adams was born on January 21, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to James and Florinda Garza Frazer. A few years later the family moved to Falfurrias, Texas where she graduated from Falfurrias High School. Flora then attended Howard Payne University, earning a teaching degree. She moved to Houston, Texas to teach deaf children in Houston Independent School District.
In 1959 Flora married Cliff Adams and they enjoyed a loving marriage of 54 years until his death. They had four children.
As a young child, Flora determined to dedicate her life to the Lord. This started as a teen, when she drove children to her father’s church for Vacation Bible School and services. As her children grew up, she taught countless Sunday School Classes and held children’s Bible Clubs in her home. Later, she became trained in Christian Counseling and was also active in her church’s nursing home ministry. As a grandmother, she faithfully shared Bible stories with the grandchildren and was a mighty prayer warrior for the family. Even in her last years, she continued sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with her caregivers and fellow residents at the care facility where she resided.
Flora is preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Adams, grandson Hudson Adams, and two brothers- James Frazer, Jr. and Charles Frazer.
She is survived by her four children: Melissa (Felix) Torres of San Marcos, Rachel (Kevin) Templin of Bryan, Stephen (Laura) Adams of Houston, and David Earl (Mindi) Adams of Austin as well as devoted nephew James Frazer, III (Lupe) of Falfurrias. She is also survived by eleven beloved grandchildren and her brother Dan (Lillian) Frazer of Arkansas
