Mrs. Fidelia N. Nnolim, 88, of Houston, passed away on March 22, 2025, in Houston, Texas.
A family viewing will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Garden Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Houston, with Rev. Fr. Christopher Plant, pastor of the parish, officiating. Burial will follow in Umuchu, Aguata, Anambra State, Nigeria. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Oaks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fidelia N. Nnolim was born in Ehime, Mbano, Nigeria, on September 5, 1936, to Michael and Monica Egbule. She attended St. Joseph’s College in Aba and Coloma College in Kent, England. She married Clement C. Nnolim on May 27, 1962, in Ogoja, Cross River State, Nigeria. He was a graduate of Manchester University, England.
Mrs. Nnolim dedicated over forty years to education, serving as a teacher, Principal of Loreto Teachers’ Training College in Adazi, Anambra State, and Supervising Principal with the State Education Board of Anambra State, Nigeria. She was an active member of the Catholic Women Organization, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John, and St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Houston. She was honored with the title Ugochinyere of Ehime, Mbano in recognition of her trailblazing life and contributions to her community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Clement C. Nnolim, and her sisters, Mrs. Agatha Anyanwu and Mrs. Philomena Anele.
She is survived by her children: Fidelis Nnolim, Clementine Nnolim, Brian Nnolim, Oby Stan-Ugbene, Bede Nnolim, and Nancy Nnolim, as well as twelve cherished grandchildren.
