Evelyn “Patti” White Lindamood Worthington died in a tragic fire at her home located on Heights Blvd., in Houston, Texas on January 3, 2011. She was born August 25, 1942 in Blacksburg, Virginia and was the daughter of Dan M. and Evelyn Lindamood. Patti attended college at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. She married David Worthington in 1968 and they lived in New Orleans before settling in Kingwood, Texas in 1982 with their two daughters, Jennifer and Page. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and Colonial Dames. Patti was an avid collector of dolls and her extraordinary collection contained many rare French and German bisque dolls from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s. She was an expert in her field and displayed her dolls with infinite care. Her home on Heights Blvd. was lovingly constructed as a replica of an important 1897 Queen Anne Victorian built in Virginia, the intent of which was to showcase her doll collection and become a private museum. Patti is survived by daughters, Jennifer Edwards and her husband Mark, Page Arlt and her husband Shane and her grandchildren David, Kelly, Scott, Madison, Shane Jr. and Connor. She is also survived by her mother Evelyn Lindamood, her sister Joan Lane, her brother Dan and her brother Edgar, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Donie and Rita Burch were loyal caregivers over many years and had become part of Patti’s family. A Visitation is being planned and will be announced at a future date.
