Eva Marie Carlin

EVA MARIE CARLIN has passed from this life at the age of 81. Eve is survived by her children Robert Sanchez, Sandra Jensen, Michael Anthony Sanchez, Victor Garcia III and a number of grand children and great-grand children.

Eve was a well rounded individual who was involved in various civic activities including but not limited to, being a Den Mother for her children’s cub scout troop, a legal secretary for the Sheraton Hotels, involvement with the Houston International Trade and Travel Fair, co owner of El Sol, the first English/Spanish newspaper in Houston, a member of the GI Forum, Lulac, Paso, the Hispanic Women’s Leadership Conference, and active in the march on Austin for Texas farm workers rights, to name a few.

Eve loved life and loved to travel and two of her favorite destinations were Las Vegas and Mexico City. A huge sports fan, Eve was a devoted Astros, Rockets and Texans fan.

Eve has always and will always have the love of her children, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who know her.
