On March 15th, 1929 Hattie Mae and Cornelius Hardy became the proud parents of a beautiful son named Eugene Hardy in Shreveport, Louisiana. His father and mother preceded him in death While deciding to move Houston, Texas he became employed at the City of Houston in the Solid Waste Management Department. He later retired from the City of Houston after 30 years of service. He later began working for Brawner Paper Co. and retired at the age of 77.
