Esther Pauline Futrell Robinson, 98, passed from this earth to her home in Heaven on December 10, 2015 in Houston, TX. She was born in Eldorado, Illinois on November 18, 1917 to Tom and Pearl (Pickering) Futrell and moved with her family to Houston, Texas in 1925. She grew up in the Heights and graduated from Reagan High School, marrying Thomas Aubrey Robinson in 1936. She loved the Lord and lived a life dedicated to His service; she was both an elder and a deacon at Heights Presbyterian Church. In her early years she worked as a dental assistant for her brother and continued in the dental field later in life. She loved music and dancing, playing dominoes, going fishing, jumping waves in Galveston, floating down the Frio River at Concan, TX, and exercising at the gym. Her single greatest joy came from spending time with her enormous family who loved her dearly and admired her incredible zeal to live this life to the absolute fullest. She was always happy, optimistic, full of life, and forever reminded everyone around her how to stay young at heart. Esther was a picture of a life well lived. She was loved by many and leaves us all with hearts full of wonderful memories.
