Ernest Moore passed away on October 23, 2015 in Houston, TX . He was born on January 6, 1932 in Floyd County, Kentucky, where he spent his youth.
As a young boy he relocated with his family to Ashland, Kentucky. Graduated from Ashland High School in 1950. Graduated form University of Kentucky in 1955. After graduation he worked as a Geophysicist, retiring in 1985.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Lorelle Moore, sons Kent Moore, Jim Moore, Dan Moore and a daughter Kathy Nicholson, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was active with his children's sports in baseball and football, often called Coach Moore. He always welcomed family, friends and neighbors into his home and patio.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home with the burial to follow after the funeral service.
