Erlinda Sanchez-Rodriquez, age 69, passed away peacefully February 12, 2021 due to longtime illness which rapidly progressed during this pandemic. She was born April 9, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Tx., where she graduated as a Ray High School Alumni.
She was a loving and dedicated mother of 3 children. The extremely supportive attention she provided to her son Michael Paul, who has severe cerebral palsy, inspired her early career as a special education teacher. Her passion was helping children with disabilities and she loved the children who were her students as if they were her own. Linda, worked for the Pasadena School district at Stuchbery Elementary school.
Growing up in Corpus Christi, Tx., she enjoyed being outdoors and being active. She enjoyed the beach, volleyball, softball and was very good at bowling. She was very involved in the community and a member of Post 472 American Legion Ladies Auxillary in Houston, Tx. Linda always had encouraging words and was always ready to lend a helping hand.
She was a woman of faith. Her life was a living example of one of her many favorite Bible verses, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Linda, as everyone called her, loved her family and life! She lived it to its fullest and enjoyed every moment.
She is survived by her loving husband Christopher Rodriguez, sons Ruben Jr. Morales, Michael Paul Morales, daughter Martha Marie Morales, her brother Delfino Del Ray Sanchez: sisters Cruz Perez, Lupe Lopez, Benita "Penny" Hernandez, Delia Tapia, her beautiful only granddaughter Madison Leigh Morales, and many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her beloved parents, Olivia and Lino Sanchez.
So for now we say till we meet again.
Linda you will be missed but never Forgotten!
