Erlinda Moreno was born on September 28, 1946 in Houston, Texas. She went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, surrounded by family. Erlinda is predeceased by her parents Bernardino Saenz, Sr. and Margaret Saenz, and brother, Ben Saenz.
She is survived by her husband, John Moreno, children, Veronica Garcia and Joseph Moreno, sisters, Virginia Medina, Carmen Medina, Margaret Ross, Mary Ramirez, brothers, Alfred Saenz, David Saenz, grandchildren, Brandon Chon Garcia, Miranda Noelle Moreno, Alicia Moreno, Joey Moreno, and great grandchildren, Alexandria Ivonne Aguello, Julian Noel Robles, Gabriel Lee Robles, Aaliyah Alize Baltazar, and Athena Rose Baltazar, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, God-children and friends.
Erlinda Moreno was a caring, loving wife, a wonderful mother, and a doting grandmother. She was devoted to her faith and was active in numerous ministries including singing in the church choir, CCE, Eucharistic ministry, and praying and visiting the shut-ins at St. Andrews Catholic Church.
She had many skills such as sewing, cake decorating and cooking.
Erlinda was a kind-hearted soul, and people, especially children were drawn to her. She enjoyed the company of family and friends, and enjoyed a good get-together that included dancing. She loved taking her sisters along to their Mother’s doctor’s appointments and shopping trips.
Erlinda’s greatest calling however was prayer. She knew the power of prayer and knew how to gather her family to pray. Her legacy will continue to live through the many lives she influences, especially those of her grandchildren.
We will miss you greatly but have comfort in knowing we will see you soon in Heaven as promised (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live even though they die and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” John 11:25-26
