Emma Sanchez Galindo

Emma Sanchez Galindo, 82, of Houston, TX passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Momo spent over 60 years of her life building and raising her family. Her inner strength and her generous spirit were unmatched, and pride for her family radiated from within her. She overcame every obstacle she faced, from losing her husband of 45 years to winning her battle against breast cancer. She was a survivor who never let the difficult times get the best of her. Momo loved to have a good time playing Bingo, Bunco, and traveling with her sister’s retired teachers’ group.

Emma is preceded in death by her husband Ezequiel “Tony” Galindo, her sisters Otillia Crosby and Tommie Martinez, and her brothers Jessie and Eddie Sanchez. She is survived by her siblings Mary Gonzalez and Rudy (Angie) Sanchez; her children Tony (Judy) Galindo, Raymond Galindo, Mary Belinda (Glen) Love, Gilbert Galindo, and Roland (Tanya) Galindo; daughters-in-law Gaile Anciano and Connie Galindo; her grandchildren Chris Galindo, Ryan Galindo, Lee (Brenda) Galindo, Krystal (Erik) Love-Hoyer, Marcella Galindo, Melissa (Robert) Birdsall, Brent (Jennifer) Love, Dustin (Eryn) Galindo, Joey (Yessenia) Galindo, Chris Juneau, Nicolas Galindo, Ava Galindo, and Madalyn Galindo; her 11 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandson.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm, Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Pat H. Foley & Company with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Thursday, September, 10, 2015, also at Pat H. Foley & Company with a light-fare reception. Interment will be 2:00 pm at Houston National Cemetery with a full reception following the graveside service at the Love home located at 15326 Chichester Lane, Jersey Village, Texas 77040.
