Emily K. Myrick

Emily K. Myrick went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2017. Emily was born February 9, 1928 in Dunn, North Carolina, the daughter of Lillie H. and Troy B. Kendrick. Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, John (2011).

Emily and John were married 64 years, sharing a love of God, the Blue Ridge Mountains and the ocean.

Emily is survived by her daughter, Cynthia deGrom of Houston, TX and her brothers Robert and Hewett Kendrick of Greensboro, N.C. She is also survived by granddaughters, Stephanie Terhune and Amy Berryann, her husband Wayne and 4 great grandchildren of N.C.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Forum and Solera West for their wonderful care. A special thanks to her caregivers, Comfort, Perpetua, Mary and her friend’s Peggy, Lorraine, Brett, Carolyn and Scott for their support and prayers.

A visitation with the family was held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Waltrip Funeral Directors in Houston. Services were held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, also in Houston
