Emily is survived by her husband, David Farra, as well as her children Lindsey Watson (James) Hunnewell, Ben Ainsworth (Belinda) Watson: and 3 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Eileen Brightwell (Grady) Hicks, and her nephew Travis Brightwell (Elba) Hicks.
Emily was a proud graduate of the University of Texas, Austin and Houston Baptist University. She became a Registered Health Information Administrator and retired from the Baylor College of Medicine, IT department. Emily enjoyed singing in the choir of Houston's First Baptist Church and previously had been a member of the choir at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. She loved to visit friends and family throughout the US and to travel to foreign countries.
All services will be held at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston Tx, 77023, on Friday December 29th 2023. The visitation will begin at 1PM, followed by a service at 2PM, a committal service at 3PM, then a reception from 4PM-6PM.
In lieu of flowers Emily's family requests donations to the charity of your choice, MD Anderson Cancer Center, or Houston's First Baptist Church.
