Elvira (Estrada) Amaro

She was born in Clodine, TX on March 16, 1939. Elvira Amaro went to Catholic schools up until junior high school when she met her wonderful husband, Manuel Amaro. They were married in 1956 and stayed married for 67 years.

She worked as a waitress for over 35 years and retired from the Hyatt Regency Hotel after 25 years.

She had a passion for family and her pets. She loved gardening and taking care of babies.

She is survived by her husband Manuel Amaro, her daughters Laura Peralez and Gloria Garcia, her son Michael Amaro, ten grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, and her sister Mary A Rodriguez.

A visitation for Elvira will be held Monday, October 2, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Tuesday, October 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
