Elvia M Beets

Elvia M. Abarca Beets, 59 of Katy, TX passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2016. Elvia was born to Elvia and Jesus Abarca in Houston, TX on February 25, 1957. After graduating Jeff Davis High School she joined the U.S. Navy where she met and married Doug Beets in Norfolk, VA. Elvia and Doug made their home in Houston, TX after having two children, Melissa Beets and Josh Beets. She was a loving, generous thoughtful grandma to 3 grandchildren, Cole, Ryder and Olivia. Elvia loved her family very much and was soon to be celebrating her 40th wedding anniversary. She was a best friend and mother, a loving sister and a caring daughter. Elvia is preceded in death by her father, Jesus Abarca, her brother Cesar Abarca. She is survived by her loyal, loving husband, Doug Beets; son, Josh Beets; and daughter, Melissa Beets; mother Elvia Abarca; sisters, Connie Fayner, Adriana Castro, Sylvia Perry, Sulema Salinas; brothers, Jesse Abarca, Joel Abarca, Jimmy Abarca, Gerry Abarca, Eric Abarca, numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 30th from 5-9 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 31st at 2 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
