Mr. Elve Kemp Jr born December 12, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Elve Sr and Norma Rean Kemp, precede him in death. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age at Lively Hope Missionary Baptist Church, later uniting with Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church October 1994, in July of 2017 he is uniting Galilee Missionary Baptist Church and Lyons Unity Baptist Church December of 2017 until his ending.
Elve Jr. attending Simonton Elementary and AW Jackson School, before being drafted to The United State Army November 01, 1967 as a PVT (P) E-1 until October 31, 1969 and upon completion of service obtains a Bronze Service Stars and Republic of Vietnam Campaign medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge and Sharpshooter (rifle).
On December 20, 1999 at 1:53 pm Elve was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Ivy Kemp. The Join together children sons Derrick Kemp (Charlene), James Jackson, Melvin Jackson and Willie Collins (deceased). Daughters Valaida Wilburn, (Stacy), Patricia Satterwhite (Carl), Laverne Collins, Wilma Collins and Barbara Jackson (deceased).
Elve Jr. departed this life November 16, 2020 at 7:30pm at Palliative Care Unit in Veterans Hospital.
Elve Jr. (Joe) leaves to cherish his memory children Derrick Kemp (Charlene), James Jackson, and Melvin Jackson. Daughter Wilma Collins his brothers George Kemp Sr. (Calandrian), Rufus Kemp (Angela), and Norman Kemp (Lawanda). His sisters Verna Kemp, Doris Arbor, Bertha Brown, Priscilla Camp (Jerry), Ruth Kemp, and Velma Wyatt (Reginald). Brother -in - law Roscoe Ferguson (Linda) and Sisters - in - laws Valaida Terry (Cornelius) and Mary Woodard (George). Grandsons: Dedrick Brown , Emmanuel Deveaux, Dominique Richardson, Derick Williams, Roderick Jackson, Wesley Wilson Jr, James Jackson Jr., Rodeny Jr., Mohagani (Curtis) Adam, Tyree Adam, Stacy Wilburn, Carlton Wilburn, Derrick Moore, Ronnie Moore and Patrick Moore. Granddaughters: Laquinta Kemp, Quierra Kemp, Ivy Wilson, Taylor Collins, Jamie Jackson, Shatarra Jackson, Nakita Brown, Natasha Clark, Kendra Freeman, Tamara Rucker. A host of great grandchildren, great great children, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
