Mrs. Lott was born in Sullivan, Illinois on September 26, 1923 to Burney B. McDavid and Daisy Winship McDavid. She graduated from UT-Austin in 1947 with a B. B. A. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi and Delta Pi Epsilon.
She married the boy next door and worked in banking for several years. She loved gardening and was president of her local gardening club. Eloise was very active as a Girl Scout leader, bridge club member, bowler, golfer, and Fort Bend Country Club member. Later she went back to school for her Masters degree in Business Education and substituted in a nearby school.
When her husband passed she volunteered as a reading tutor for first graders at a local elementary. She was a Christian and loved worship music.
Mrs. Lott was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy D. Lott, her daughter Joyce Ann Bernard, and a grandson Chancellor Bernard. She is survived by her daughter Janet Marie Brown and her husband Michael G. Brown, their daughter Elizabeth Howell and her husband Scott M. Howell, grandsons Terence Bernard and his wife Whitney and Shane Bernard and his wife Amy along with 7 great-grandchildren.
The service will be for close family only on September 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Davey Gibson of Sugar Land Baptist Church, officiating, Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery. The service will be available on FaceBook Live for all our dear friends and family to safely participate.
