Mark and I met Eloise and her family 49 years ago when we came to Houston as newlyweds.  Mark had just begun working for Eloise’s husband.  They hosted a party at their house and invited us. We were introduced to this wonderful family that day. We were blessed to became part of the family.

For me, it was love at first sight with Eloise.  She became my big sister.  She had a talent for making everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. I could feel her love from then on.  She was someone I could trust and someone who was there for me. She was my inspiration. She reminded me of my mother, a strong woman of faith who led her family by example. She had a great sense of humor. We would laugh and laugh whenever we were together. We enjoyed being together for many years.

Eloise had a gentle and sweet manner about her.  She was a strong woman of faith and I admired that about her. She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved her family. She was very proud of her sons.  We attended many of their games as they grew to become wonderful men with their own families. How she loved her family!

No matter how much time passed from one visit to the next or from one phone call to the next, we could pick up right where we had left off before. We enjoyed each other as if no time had passed since the last conversation.

Eloise was my inspiration, my mentor. I learned how to be a mentor and example for others as I watched and learned from her. She gave me encouragement and confidence to become a leader of integrity. I admired her and wanted to emulate her. She was a true friend to everyone who was part of her life – her sons, her husband, John, her family, her friends, her co-workers, and also her church family. She loved her church, and she shared her talents here also.

I will miss not having you to talk to, My Sweet Friend.  Rest in the arms of Jesus.  You will always hold a place of honor in my life. I will never forget you. I love you & I thank God that you were part of my life.

I met Eloise years ago when we both worked at Memorial Southeast Hospital.  She had such a sweet and caring spirit, qualities that made her a very respected nurse.  My condolences to her family, you can be proud of the legacy she leaves.  

Grandma Eloise will be truly missed. She was a kind and gentle woman with a positive outlook in everything. She gave her all in all things, her family, church, and friends. Loved sharing recipes with her, too. Our condolences to the family.

Our deepest condolences to the Family sending prayers for Strength  and Comfort.  She was a Wonderful and Phenomenal woman that I was Blessed to all Aunt but Great Aunt . I loved to hear my Grandma Brigham say my little sister is coming over and we would all get ready because Aunt Kina was coming into town. I loved to hear them laugh out loud with each other as well as everyone else who was with them. Their beautiful and contagious smile would light up  the entire room they were in.  Aunt Kina you were definitely one of a kind and will be dearly missed. May you rejoice  with all of your loved ones and im sure you are playing harmony to all.. WE Love you

Eloise was a wonderful woman of faith who loved God and her family very much.  She was involved in all aspect of the church for many years including being the pianist at San Pablo Trinity Presbyterian Church.  Eloise will be very much missed by all.  May God grant comfort to the family knowing that she is now with loved ones.
