At the second anniversary of you leaving us anyone that knew you has an empty spot in their heart. Your spirit lives on through your husband and through your children and through your faithful sister. I did not know you as long as any of them but for the time that I did get to know you your spirit that I captured that you freely gave to me flows through my mind and in my heart every day. Please let us never lose that touch that we have with you through that spirit that helps to renew our lives daily.  I thank God for allowing our paths to cross. 🙏🏼😘🙏🏼 William

Eloisa , was one of the most kindest , sweetest people i know . I remember working together with her on night shift down town. A group of us would get together and go out for lunch at this Spanish restaurant downtown, those were some of my fondest memories, it was so nice going out especially with her , she was always so loving and full of life, kind and , so considerate, she treated me like family.  And i believe  that was just her personality, welcoming . Her and her husband sold me my house , and they went out of their way to help me.  Eloisa , she was also a great cook i remember her making Mexican soup in our kitchen downtown, it was the best. Among a few other meals and special things she'd bring , she was a giver always doing and giving to others. I loved her so very much, and im 
gonna miss her, my prayers go out to her husband and beautiful family, i know its hard but i pray for God to help you and comfort and keep you during  this time.  God can and will do it ,just call when you need him. 

I don’t know where to begin in expressing the loss of my dear sweet friend, Eloisa. She was a very kind and caring person. As I reflect on the many memories I have with her, tears flow from my eyes.  Working with her at HEC was always delightful.  Eloisa was always professional, thoughtful, caring and often times funny. She loved to laugh and laughed often as the pictures reflect. Eloisa was a hard worker and dedicated to public service. She cared for all people she helped. Just being around her made you want to do better and be better because she was the best and always gave her best to whatever she was called to do. Eloisa organized parties for us, cooked for us and spoke for us. She was a leader and led by example. Eloisa never half stepped on anything she did. It was always top notch and done in excellence. 
At some points during her career at HEC we were understaffed however, Eloisa was poised and continued to handle all her duties and calls in stride. I can see clearly in my minds’ eye a time when we were down to just 3-4 call-takers on the floor and Eloisa was still going strong – taking Spanish and English calls and shining brighter than all the beautiful jewelry she often wore. Every call she received was handled with care even when things were rough for us at HEC.
Personally, some of my fondest memories with her were riding in that White Diesel Expedition going late night to get food from a taco truck. More recently I had allowed time and life to get in the way of being a closer friend with Eloisa. I was planning to get her to teach me how to bake a cake in a skillet. It is rare but sometimes you could get off work early at HEC. This privilege was reserved for the better and more deserved workers. I guess Eloisa did such a fine job here on earth, she got off early. We are all the better for having known and worked with Eloisa. I thank God for Eloisa being a friend, a leader and such an influence on my life. 


I have so many memories of Eloisa from the many nights that we worked together at the Houston Emergency Center.  Many times we were close enough together that we were able to talk between calls.  I was always touched by how she wore her heart on her sleeves to those citizens she served, when so many of us had become more hardened.  And as her coworkers, she always extended that love to us, by always stepping up to organize parties and meals when we worked holidays; of course we'd rather be home with our families, but she was so instrumental in creating  a sense of home and family at work.  I will always remember her smile and her laugh; I only remember once seeing her angry, which was because her volunteering to organize our parties were curtailed by the management.  

To Chavez, Xochitl, and Krystal, my heart is broken for you and your family.  Eloisa always spoke of you all at work during those endless nights, and her love for you all was so evident.  Speaking for my coworkers, we thank you for sharing this wonderful woman with us.  She was filled with so much love, and we were so  fortunate to receive that love as well.  Xochitl and Krystal, I know your mother is so proud of you both, and the outstanding women that you have grown to, she will continue to beam in Heaven over you both.  Chavez, I have been so impressed by your faith in our God throughout this terrible time.  I am relieved to know you find comfort in having the knowledge that you will be reunited with your wife when that time comes, as much as it may hurt now.

From this experience, I have to thank Eloisa for teaching me that we must cherish our moments here, to never waste time with our loved ones.  I regret being so tied up with work, not having seen Eloisa in quite a while.  You may be gone from this world Eloisa, but you will live here in my heart forever, I'm so fortunate to have known you.  Until we meet again, I will always love and miss you Eloisa.

I had the honor of being one of Eloisa's  supervisors when I worked in dispatch as a sergeant . She always had a smile and positive attitude and would go out of her way to help anyone that was in need. She spoke very highly of her family and trips to Mexico. She loved her family very much and enjoyed being with them. When I was transferred out of dispatch and back to patrol,  she made a special cake and cookies  for me due to my diabetes . I will always think very highly of her and hope to see her again when God calls me home to  HIS heaven.  May God bless the entire family and give them the peace that can only come from HIM. My deepest condolences to her family. 

Tía Eloísa un sincero agradecimiento por todos los detalles que tuviste con nosotros, siempre fuiste un ejemplo de esmero y amor con la familia, Dios perdone tus faltas y te reciba lo más pronto en la Gloria, desde donde seguirás cuidando de mi tío Enedino y de mis primas Xochitl y Krystal.

Mi tía Eloisa siempre fue una persona que se preocupaba por los demás, nos llenó de mucha alegría y de amor, nos quedamos con sus enseñanzas y los buenos momentos que nos compartió. Afortunadamente ya está descansando y esperamos que mi tío y mis primas encuentren el consuelo que necesitan.

Tía se que estas a lado de nuestro Señor,         siempre fuiste una persona amorosa, empática, generosa y dispuesta a ayudar. Tú esencia va a quedar grabada en mi corazón a través de la alegría, la ternura, la fortaleza, la solidaridad, el cariño, la determinación y la gratitud. Que lindo coincidir contigo gracias tía por haber sido tan linda.

Estoy seguro de que mi tía lleno a muchas personas con su luz, amor y alegría, yo me quedo con el grato recuerdo de que aun estando lejos siempre me hizo llegar su apoyo, con el amor, la ternura y el buen humor que la rodean, es un placer coincidir en esta vida con toda nuestra bonita familia, ella nos enseñó que para el amor no existen fronteras, siempre hay formas de hacer saber la importancia a los seres amados y eso mi tía lo supo hacer muy bien, le doy gracias a Dios y  a la vida misma por compartir aun que sea un fragmento de su tiempo en esta tierra. 


Me quedo con el mejor recuerdo de mi tía, una gran persona, sincera, honesta, una bellísima persona, donde estas tía seguirás siendo una bellísima estrella.

Gracias tía por todo y por permitirme conocerte y brindarme tu amor.

Te llevaré en mi alma tía por siempre.

I’m still out of words that you are no longer here, but one thing that I’m glad is that you are no longer suffering in pain. God sure took one beautiful soul to the land of heaven. I remember when you could you always tried to help me look for better opportunities for me and my kids and you gave me such amazing advice. Never once did you ever judge me or in that case anyone. All my 23 years you and your husband have been there for my parents like no other as if we were actually blood family and that was the best. Always carried your heart on your shoulders. You would put everyone else before yourself. How I wish god would have helped you pull through and to come home but he had other plans. This isn’t a goodbye it’s a see you soon may you RIP beautiful angel. 

I meet and became good friends with her youngest daughter Krsytal working at the Harris County Clerk Office we used to sit right next to each other I meet her Mother and Father and also visted the restaurant in Old Town Spring her mom and father both are great people to know they are all about Family be it blood relatives or friends. God needed another angel. Eloisa was definitely an angel here on earth. I was blessed to work with her for many years at HPD and HEC on Night Shift. She was such a dedicated call taker, compassionate and caring toward the callers and toward her co-workers. She was one of the most unselfish persons I have ever known. She planned so many dinners and parties and we enjoyed her delicious cooking and decorating skills. So many wonderful memories of our field trips, birthday celebrations, retirements, get togethers and visits. I will treasure them all in my heart. Praying for her family and friends during their time of loss and grief.  May God be with each of you and give you strength and comfort. You all have my deepest sympathy.

This is hard. I worked with her in HPD Dispatch for many, many years.  Elouisa was one of the most kind and caring persons I have ever met.  She was always willing to help anyone.  She knew when things just weren’t right with you and she would ask if there was any help you needed.  
We loved to talk about gardening and cooking.  She taught me how to make Mexican meals. I never could get my meat seasoned just right until she told me about comino ( the Mexican secret she called it).  It’s been perfect ever since. I still to this day tell people about how she taught me how to make Mexican meals. She is really going to be missed.  I wish I had stopped by her restaurant but tomorrow never came. The family is in my prayers. Cherish the Memories! 

I worked with Eloisa for several years when I was at 9-1-1, she was a kind soul and I will miss her friendship tremendously. I am blessed to have know her, Rest In Peace Ms. Chavez 

Eliosa, her husband and daughter had breakfast at Denny’s a couple of months before she became ill.  I had so much fun with them.  She had a sweet and loving spirit.  She will truly be missed.  RIP Eloisa!  🙏🏾

Eloisa and I shared the love of plants and flowers. From the first time I met her and her family I felt welcomed and loved! Walking with her and talking with her about the different plants and flowers that were blooming in her yard we connected with a special bond!! I will miss that along with her smile and laugh! Eloisa, May you find peace in the loving hands  of God! You will be missed by many people here on earth. Heaven got a lot sweeter on June 12, 2020.
