Born June 17, 1924 to the late Albert and Gertrude Williams, in Houston, Texas. The youngest of seven siblings, she is preceded in death by her brothers Moses Williams Albert Williams (San), Harry Williams and Chester Williams and sisters Florence Hoxie and Ruth Conley. In 1947 she met and married John D. Wilkerson. This union was blessed with daughters Jana Wilkerson-Moore (Thomas, deceased) and Michelle Wilkerson-Howard (Charles, deceased). Elnora grew up in Houston and remained there until 1958 when she, her husband and daughters relocated to Los Angeles, California. She remained there until her retirement as a Special Education Teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District. In 1987 she and her husband of 67 years, returned to Houston to live. Elnora accepted CHRIST at a very early age, and was baptized at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church where she served the LORD. She was a participant in the Jr. Usher Boar, the Mission Society and various other committees. In 1958 she found and joined Trinity Baptist Church (Dr. Elliott J. Mason Sr.) There she worked with the youth, especially "The Guild Girls." Upon her return to Houston, she immediately reinstated her membership with Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church (Reverend Fred C. Hoxie). So happy to be back home, she immediately immersed herself in the continued work for the LORD. She served in the Mission, worked with the Youth and on various committees as well. Elnora completed her education in Houston and graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School. Upon relocating to California, Elnora completed the final phase of her education at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles). Here she completed her studies to become a special Education Teacher Secondary level, she loved that age group, the "Tween Age" she called them. In all of many years of work as an Educator, Elnora received many honors for her extended work with the Youth; a better education, a fair education was her goal. Her hobby as a Ceramist brought her hours of tranquility and she shared her creations with friends and family. Elnora was an exceptionally strong woman in her religious beliefs, and the welfare of others. A wonderful "Role Model". She lived a wonder life and gave her love freely and abundantly to all. She was blessed with four grandchildren: Tomel Moore (Los Angeles) (Dianne), Nichelle Thompson (Los Angeles) (Roderick), Keilan Moore (Houston) (Monique) and La Toya Spencer (Houston); eight great grandchildren: Nyel Jones (Nichelle), Daniel Loaza Moore (Tomel), Naomi Galloway ((Nichelle), De'Andre Moore (Keilan Sr.), Kimberly Galloway (Nichelle), Wendell Thompson (Nichelle), Keilan Moore Jr. (Keilan Sr.) and Logan Moore (Keilan Sr.) Active
