Elmer Ray Hudspeth, 81, passed away suddenly Friday night, October 20, 2017 in The Woodlands, Texas after enjoying the Astro’s win. Elmer was born January 5, 1936 in Sabine County, Texas to Luther Jewel Hudspeth and Zettie Ola Parker. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After retiring from Oceaneering International, he enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Elmer is preceded in death by his son, Robert Earl. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Verna; son, Arthur; daughter-in-law, Janette; grandsons, Austin and Connor.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home with interment immediately to follow at Brookside Memorial Park Cemetery.
