Elmer L. Bridges, age 85, died December 9, 2012. Services will be at 10AM on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Porter. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Brookside Funeral home on Lauder.
Mr. Bridges was born on April 4, 1927 in Alto, TX. He joined the United States Navy in May of 1945 & married Mary Frances Dulaney on June 30, 1950. He was a dedicated employee to the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County for 40 years.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Frances Bridges & three children, Danny L. Bridges of Porter, Bobbie Bridges of New Caney & Colleen Kinder of Shepherd. Seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren & numerous nieces & nephews.
