Ellen was always full of smiles and laughter.  A gentle person who will be missed.  I was remembering the time her and Myrna tried to teach me how to make pancit!  Their egg rolls were legendary. My husband Henry still talks about them.  Nothing ever compares.  She is at peace in the loving arms of God and the angels.  My parents Rocky and Mary and brother Philip I'm sure greeted her in heaven.  She was special to them and they to her.  Our deepest sympathy to your family and friends.  Our prayers are with you.

Tita Ellen, I was in Hawaii on my honeymoon when I heard that you had passed over to the other side. I can't believe that you are gone from this earthly world. But I know you are at peace and with much joy in the arms of Jesus. You have always been such a good example to me. You have one of the biggest hearts that I have ever met. I'm sorry I couldn't be with Uncle Loy at your memorial. But I wanted to have a small memorial for you with my new husband, Charles. The day started out with rain, but as we were driving over to the beach, a beautiful rainbow appeared. I picked some hibiscus flowers, and we let them float away in the ocean at Hilo Bay. Tita, you were one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. I'll always remember yor kind, loving, and generous spirit. You also gave the best hugs! I'll miss you dearly.

Ellen, you are such a wonderful friend to be missed. I know you are now in the garden of eternity feeling no more physical pain but joy in the heavenly kingdom in the company of the Almigjty. I missed you my dear friend.

I will forever be grateful for your genuine hospitality, love & care during my stay with you in May 1991. We love you.

We are deeply saddened by your demise , Tita Elllen. We will always remember your good heart and grateful to all the help you extended to my siblings and to my own family now. You never failed to remind me to take good care of them coz that's what family is all about. Thank you for all the good memories  we will surely missed you. We love you.

The first memory I can think of such a great aunt are the never ending supply of chewable multi-vitamins.  This little thoughtful act will always be remembered, cherished, and will forever be missed.  

Mommy Ellen to her family was a beacon of hope.  She was always there when anyone of us needs her.  She was always there to extend a helping hand in any way she can, be it big or small.   

I am yet to know any other person as strong as she is.  Even to her last breath, she tried her best to battle it out.  You are one true example of how everyone should cherish their life.  

Not known to all, she was also fondly called as a "saint" by one of her siblings who has already gone ahead of her.  I know why she is called such and I know all will agree that she is one.  

In our mind we will miss your physical presence but in our hearts we know that you are and will always be amidst us. 

God has called back an angel.  God has you in his keeping; WE have you in our hearts.  

I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH MALEN. We miss you so much already!

Ellen, you are in my heart forever. Your love and goodness to our family will always be remembered. Thank you for the friendship, trust, affection and care. I will miss our phone chats more than anything else. Rest in peace. I love you.

Tita Ellen the undeniable love you shared with us all was just one of the many reasons we love you. You will be missed by many, the memories that you shared with us were not sad nor dull and will always be remembered. When  we went to America you extend  your help in our roughest moments with generous and open arms.

Tita Ellen, thank you for weaving beautiful memories with us. You never failed to make us feel loved and appreciated throughout the years.  We took comfort in your affectionate presence knowing we were connected though thousands of miles apart. You were a constant support and lifeline despite having your own battle. I adore you for being a loving, selfless and strong woman. 

You will be missed every moment. Losing you is so painful. I am consoled that you are free from earthly pain and experiencing the bliss of heaven. Forever, you remain our angel. I love you.

When I retired 2 years ago, Ellen invited me to join the Y for exercise purposes. There were 6-7 other Pinays at this 11am, 3x/week group exercise. After that, we would all go out to eat lunch. We had fun exercising, but enjoyed bonding over lunch even more. Ellen stopped going when she got sick (bladder). I stopped going as well, for Ellen is the major reason I joined the group. Ellen - I don't think you still need to exercise in heaven, but if you do, think of me and help me discipline myself to exercise as well. So long, fitness buddy!

I remember the bowling tournament we went to around 2-3 yrs. ago. Athelo coordinated the Fil- Am league sign-up and the potluck dinner that Saturday. They arrived there Friday, a day early. On Saturday, our room was not yet ready so we went to Ellen/Athelo's room to freshen up and park our luggage. We ate chicken adobo (which I cooked). During bowling, Ellen had our snacks, and she would wave the banana to us. I miss Ellen. She is caring, funny, thoughtful and kind.

Auntie Ellen, you will be so missed by our family. We will always think of your smiling face, kindness, & support fondly. We miss you but know you're in a better place. Love,

Hi Mana Ellen, thank you for everything you've done to me. I knew you'd be watching all of us. Give a tight hug to Nanay and Papa for me for you will be with them in eternal life with no pain. You will be missed and loved. Rest in Peace. And thanks for the visit the other night,  though Drew was a little bit spooked but, I was happy you came by, and you made me smile.

Ellen and I worked together for many years at Ben Taub Hospital.  She was a lovely person and a very caring nurse.  May her memory be eternal.
