Ellen Jeanette McNamara

Born on January 29, 1936 in Houston, Texas, Ms. Mac was raised in the Houston area and graduated Milby High School in 1954. Ms. Mac married the “handsomest man in school”, James Eugene McNamara, on December 19, 1953.

Through their 62 years of marriage, they raised three children: Cheryl Berry (Scott), Denise Charpentier (Gary), and Jimmy McNamara (Jerri). They were both extremely proud of their only grandchild, Micah Jordan McNamara.

Before moving to Florida in 2020, Ms. Mac enjoyed trips to casinos with family and friends and she had a love of travel, especially her trips abroad. Ms. Mac was loved by many and will be especially remembered for her fierce love of family and George Strait. And the occasional margarita when asked to join the group at Don-Key. She was a firecracker with a big heart.

Services will be held at the Chapel of Angels in Forest Park Lawndale on Saturday, September 30 at 2pm. Visitation will begin at 1pm and graveside service at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Hospice of St. Francis Reflections (www.reflectionslsc.org) or a charity of your choice.
