Ellen Gertrude Marinucci

Ellen G. Marinucci, born Ellen Gertrude Krut on December 2, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away in Houston on December 9, 2022. Ellen was preceded in death in 2017 by her beloved husband, Lawrence “Larry” Marinucci, to whom she was married for 54 years. She is survived by her daughters Julie, Mary Lynn and Beth, sons-in-law Clay Woomer and Stephen Ruken, and her grandchildren, Natalie, Alan, Diane, Casey and Ryan.

Ellen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother known for her caring, compassionate spirit and generosity. Ellen attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She worked as an administrative assistant in various companies, including Shell Oil in Pittsburgh, through which she met Larry, and the M.D. Anderson Rehabilitation Center in Houston. She volunteered in various capacities through her church and community organizations. She was also an accomplished seamstress and ceramic artist. Ellen was grounded in her faith, and found strength in it throughout her life.

A visitation for Ellen will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with a Rosary beginning at 12:30, at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 West 34th Street, Houston, TX 77018. Following the visitation will be a committal service at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Drive, Houston, TX 77055.
