Elizabeth was born in Houston on the 23rd of October 1940, to William Elijah Ewing, Jr. and John Elizabeth (Sutherland) Ewing. Elizabeth was a graduate of Bellaire High School, class of 1958, where she was a member of the Bellaire Belles. She attended Sam Houston State University and was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. She then pursued a Masters of Education at the University of Texas in Austin and a Masters in Spanish at the Universidad de las Americas Puebla, Mexico.
Elizabeth was a high school Spanish and English Grammar teacher at Jeff Davis High School and then at Sam Houston High School, both in Houston. She married E. Milton Morin, Jr. on the 25th of June 1966, in Houston. They shared nearly 43 years together until he passed away in May of 2009. They lived happily in West University Place for their entire marriage and are now reunited in Heaven.
Elizabeth loved the Lord and loved her family. Her faith in Jesus Christ was of upmost importance to her. She enjoyed being involved at church and with her church home group. She and Milton loved to travel and enjoyed trips with family and friends. She enjoyed game nights with friends, participating in the same bridge group for over 30 years, spending time along the Comal River in New Braunfels, and spending her time with her children and grandchildren.
Elizabeth is survived by her children, Sarah Elizabeth Morin Geyer and her husband, Mark Russell Geyer of Georgetown, Texas; Thomas Milton Morin and his wife, Julie Mann Morin of Houston; grandchildren Madeline Grace Geyer, William Joshua Geyer, Kate Elizabeth Geyer, Henry Daniel Geyer, Maya Kathryn Morin, and Zachary Milton Morin; and her brother, William Elijah Ewing, III of Roseville, California.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her aunt, Mary Ewing, and her aunt Lillian Ewing and her husband, Earl Milton Morin, Jr. all of Houston.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening on Friday, the 15th of October, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The family will gather for a private interment at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston.

Elizabeth was a loving and committed wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her kind and generous heart. Her battle with Alzheimer's took her mind, but it did not take her sweet spirit. She will be missed, but her footprints on the sand of time shall ever be evident.
