Elizabeth graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Equine Science. She built a career around the care, rehabilitation, and training of horses.
Elizabeth was a gifted athlete and fierce competitor. Her older brother would pick her to play on his neighborhood touch football and baseball teams. She became the first woman to make the Men’s Varsity Soccer team at her high school before eventually joining the Belmont Shores Landsharks Women’s Rubgy Club.
Growing up around cats, dogs, and horses, Elizabeth loved all animals. She was introduced to working with border collies in high school, starting a lifelong love affair with the breed.
Elizabeth was comfortable in any setting and would light up a room by simply entering it with nothing more than a smile. She was a voracious reader with a remarkable library. She loved adventure and for much of her life saw the world traveling and living abroad. She collected many experiences that fed her creative story telling. One could rarely spend time with Elizabeth without sharing a boisterous laugh.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, William Douglas and Sara Norman Edman. She is survived by her brothers, Douglas Charles Edman and his children, Stephanie, Jack and Christopher, and Jeffrey Edman and his son, Nicholas; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
