Eleanor was a very elegant, stylish mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She always made us laugh because she never met a stranger. She worked 20 plus years at Spaw Glass Construction in Houston, Texas. In the early years, she worked and lived in Houston and she loved spending her weekends at her home on the San Bernard River in Brazoria, Texas. She enjoyed operating the boat while family skied. She introduced the family to crabbing and she made the best crab gumbo!
Eleanor was a loving caregiver. She spent a good deal of her life taking care of her husband, mother and father when their health was failing.
She is survived by her daughter Lynnette Wilke and husband Dana. Grandchildren, Shari DeLeon, Cathy Guin, Rhonda Morgan, Dana Soutar, Mark Wilke, Gary Wilke and Evan Wilke. Numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Alrie Hardy Sr., and Minnie Lucile Harrison Hardy. Husband, Beverly Oswald Byers and children, Charles Robert Byers and Beverly Kay Byers Pierson; siblings, Alrie Hardy, Jr., Jack Hardy and Bibbie Wright.
