Elias Bustamante Ybarra

Elias ”Leo” Bustamante Ybarra, 84 of Houston, Texas was born November 6, 1938 to Luis and Bertha (Bustamante) Ybarra and passed away at his home on Friday, June 30, 2023. Leo was a hard-working family man, avid fisherman and hunter, devoted husband and loving father. He was a plumber by trade who had owned more than one business contributing to the community and economy. Leo never met a stranger and was loved by many.

He is survived by his wife of over 65 years, Jovita Gonzales Ybarra; children, Raul Ybarra and wife, Anna; David Ybarra and wife, Tracie; Juanita Rains; Tina Ybarra; Roxanne Morris and husband, Tony; 13 grandchildren, Jason, Benjamin, Allen, Justin, Amanda, Chelsie, Anton, Reya, Gracia, Jacob, Zade, Tianna, and Caius; along with 12 great-grandchildren: Leticia, Humzah, Aminah, Kayley, Elias, Elianna, Azalaya, Oren, Hayden, Aiden, Elliana and Gloria Jo; 7 sisters, Lydia, Emma, Tobie, Rachel, Mary, Viola, Diana and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Guadalupe Ybarra.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 Broadway, Houston, Texas 77087 with burial following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Raul Ybarra, David Ybarra, Benjamin Ybarra, Allen Holloway, Anton Cruz, and Tony Morris.

Burial service followed by buffet lunch to be served at Doneraki's, Gulfgate Mall, 1:30 p.m.
